Okay, so The Mummy on Game Boy Color is basically two games in one—you either play as Imhotep, the ancient evil mummy trying to take over the world (which, honestly, feels way more fun than it should), or as Rick O’Connell trying to stop him and save his kid. The controls are a little stiff, but smashing through enemies as Imhotep with those dark magic powers makes up for it. Rick’s levels are more about platforming and shooting, which can get frustrating when the camera doesn’t keep up. Still, if you’re into early 2000s licensed games, this one’s got some weird charm.
Also, the music slaps harder than it has any right to.
