Play Mummy, The Online
Explore ancient ruins, fight mummies, solve puzzles, and rescue Evelyn as Rick O'Connell in The Mummy for Game Boy Color.
I picked up The Mummy for Game Boy Color back when it came out in 2000, developed by Ubisoft. It was part of that wave of movie tie-ins that tried to capture the adventure spirit on a small screen. The game didn't try to reinvent anything, but it had a certain charm that fit right in with other handheld action titles of the time.
You control Rick O'Connell, moving through pyramid corridors and ancient ruins, fighting mummies and other creatures with your sword. The main goal is to rescue Evelyn and stop Imhotep, which involves navigating trap-filled rooms, solving simple puzzles, and collecting keys to progress. Combat is straightforward, mostly swinging your blade at enemies that shamble toward you, and the pacing is brisk, though some sections can feel repetitive. It's a straightforward, sometimes clunky experience, but there's a simple satisfaction in clearing each screen and pushing further into the darkness.
