Combat's familiar if you've played 7th Saga, though the monster designs are wilder—think giant floating masks and living trees with faces. The real hook is recruiting these oddball characters who join you, each with their own weird backstory. One minute you're helping a fish-man find his lost crown, next thing you know you're bargaining with a sentient cloud. It's janky in that classic SNES RPG way, but there's something oddly compelling about piecing together where you even are.
