Game Overview

Nantettatte!! Baseball came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989, developed by TOSE and published by Sunsoft. It was part of that wave of late 80s NES sports games that often prioritized a fun, exaggerated style over strict simulation, fitting right in with the console's library at the time.

You control a team of players with comically large heads, managing both pitching and batting. The main objective is to win baseball games, but the mechanics are where it stands out. As a pitcher, you can throw absurdly curving balls that defy physics, bending in wild arcs toward the plate. When batting, timing a hit on one of these crazy pitches produces a deeply satisfying, almost cartoonish sound effect and sends the ball flying. The game moves at a brisk pace, and while not overly difficult, it demands good timing to master its exaggerated pitching and hitting. It feels like playing a Saturday morning cartoon version of baseball.
