Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu 3 came out for the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Tomy Corporation. It was part of that early wave of DS games where developers were still figuring out how to use both screens, and this one made decent use of the touchscreen for special moves. It's a side-scrolling action game that leans into the series' ninja brawls without trying to do too much.
You control Naruto and other characters from the series, moving through levels screen by screen, beating up enemy ninjas with combos and signature jutsu. The main goal is to clear each stage, defeat bosses like Gaara or Zabuza, and unlock more characters along the way. Key mechanics include using the touch screen to activate special techniques and swapping between characters mid-fight for different abilities. The pacing is pretty brisk; some sections demand quick reflexes, especially during boss fights where you need to dodge and counter. It feels straightforward but satisfying when you pull off a well-timed combo or land a big Rasengan.
