Game Overview

NBA Jam Tournament Edition on SNES is basically the original NBA Jam but cranked up a notch. You still get that ridiculous arcade-style 2v2 basketball where players dunk from half-court and catch fire after three buckets in a row—except now there are more teams, updated rosters, and some extra modes to mess around with.

First thing you’ll notice? The announcer screaming "BOOMSHAKALAKA!" every time you pull off something stupid, like a 360 windmill dunk with Scottie Pippen. The controls are simple—just sprint, shoot, and shove defenders into the stands—but the chaos never gets old. I spent way too many afternoons trying to beat my friend with the Bulls while he insisted the Suns were secretly OP.

If you liked the original, this one’s just more of that goodness, just with a few extra bells and whistles. Still one of the best couch multiplayer games from the ‘90s.
