Neugier came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Wolf Team. You control a young girl named Uta, exploring a mysterious floating island from a top down perspective. The main goal is to delve into a series of dungeons, solving environmental puzzles and battling strange creatures to collect the seven pieces of the Triforce like relic, the Will. Combat is simple; you use a sword for close attacks and a bow for hitting switches or enemies from a distance. The pacing is slow, almost methodical, as you push blocks, find hidden passages, and manage a limited inventory of keys and items. It feels like patiently unraveling a very quiet, very lonely secret.
