Play Nicky Boom Online
Tiny caveman kid with a slingshot takes on fashion-disaster goons—dodge baddies, find hidden caves, and nail those satisfying thunk shots.

Nicky Boom came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Microïds. It was one of those side-scrolling platformers that felt right at home in the era, sitting alongside other early 90s PC adventures that relied on simple controls and colorful, blocky graphics to build their worlds.
You control a young caveboy armed with a slingshot, navigating through a series of single-screen levels. The goal is to defeat all the enemies on each screen to unlock the exit, while also hunting for keys to open treasure chests and reveal hidden bonus items. Movement is screen by screen; you can't scroll, so each area is a self-contained puzzle of enemy patterns and platform jumps. The pacing is methodical, almost puzzle-like, as you time your shots and watch for enemy patrol routes. Landing a hit with your slingshot has a solid, tactile feel, and clearing a tricky screen brings a real sense of accomplishment.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
