Play Nigel Mansells World Championship Online
Race as Nigel Mansell, tackle real circuits, manage speed and strategy, and aim for victory against AI opponents in this 1992 MS-DOS racing sim.
Nigel Mansell's World Championship came out in 1992 for MS-DOS, published by Gremlin Graphics. It arrived during a time when racing sims were starting to push for more realism, even on home computers. You get a selection of real circuits from that season, and the car models, while simple, reflect the look of the era's Formula 1 machines.
You control Mansell's Williams FW14B, aiming to qualify well and win races against computer opponents. The game uses a behind-the-car perspective, and managing your speed through corners is crucial; brake too late and you will slide off. Tire wear and fuel consumption play a role, forcing strategic pit stops. The AI provides consistent pressure, and mistakes are costly, especially on narrow street circuits. It feels tense and demanding, rewarding clean laps and punishing errors without mercy.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
