Ninja Combat is one of those classic arcade brawlers where you just wade through waves of ninjas—and honestly, what more do you need? You pick between Joe or Hayabusa (or grab a buddy for co-op) and start chucking shurikens like there’s no tomorrow. The flaming upgrade for those stars is weirdly satisfying—they’re tiny but pack a punch.
You’ll find axes and swords lying around, but they’re a trade-off: hit harder, but suddenly you’re up close and personal with enemies. The special moves are where it gets fun—launching yourself across the screen or wiping out half the enemies with a big attack (though it costs you some health, so timing matters).
What I didn’t expect was recruiting defeated enemies to fight alongside you. Some are tanky, others are quick, and figuring out who works best against certain bosses adds a little strategy to the chaos. The tower climb gimmick keeps things moving, and the sprite work has that chunky, colorful arcade charm.
It’s not deep, but it’s a solid button-masher with just enough variety to stay interesting.
