Game Overview
Nintendogs - Dalmatian & Friends is one of those games that makes you forget you're holding a DS. You start by picking out a puppy—Dalmatians, Labs, even a Great Dane if you want a giant lapdog—and suddenly you're scratching its ears with the stylus, tossing a frisbee, and laughing when it flops down for a nap mid-training session.
The touchscreen controls just feel right. You'll swipe to pet them, drag treats to teach tricks (mine still spins in circles whenever I pull out a snack), and even blow into the mic to fill their water bowl. The competitions are goofy but weirdly satisfying—nothing like watching your dog nail an agility course after weeks of practice.
It's simple, but there's something about hearing those little paw taps on the sidewalk during walks or seeing your pup recognize its name that makes it stick. Just don't blame me when you catch yourself talking to a pixelated dog in public.
