Notrus is one of those—no fancy cutscenes, no epic storyline, just pure pixelated chaos that somehow hooks you. You’ll spend the first five minutes figuring out what the heck you’re even supposed to do (good luck with that), and then suddenly it’s an hour later and you’re still mashing keys trying to beat your last score.
The controls are janky in that nostalgic way—like the developer coded it in a weekend and just… left it there. But there’s charm in its roughness. The screen flickers, the sound effects are basically beeps, and yet you’ll catch yourself leaning closer to the monitor like it’s 1993 all over again.
