I first played Novatron back in the early 80s, a 1982 release from Sierra On-Line for MS-DOS. It was one of those early games that felt like it was pushing the limits of what a home computer could do, a straightforward arcade-style experience that fit right in with the era's growing appetite for action titles.

You control a small, nimble ship on a fixed screen, tasked with clearing waves of geometric enemies that fire patterned neon bullets. Your main objective is survival, chaining kills to build a high score while dodging increasingly complex bullet patterns. The signature mechanics involve precise movement through tight spaces and timing your shots to eliminate threats before they overwhelm you. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
