You guide a pixel blob through mazes, dodging enemies with erratic movement—just when you think you’ve got the rhythm, they start changing direction on you. That frantic beeping still haunts me.

Game Overview

Nurmans is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow sticks in your brain decades later. You control this little dude—more of a pixel blob, really—scooting through mazes while avoiding these floating enemies that move in weirdly unpredictable patterns. At first it seems simple, but by level 3 you're sweating, dodging two enemies at once while trying to grab that speed boost before the timer runs out.

The sound effects alone are pure nostalgia—those crunchy beeps when you pick up items, the frantic "you're about to die" warning noise. It's got that classic "easy to learn, brutal to master" thing going on. I still remember the first time I cleared the fifth maze, only to realize the next set introduces enemies that change direction mid-movement. Absolute chaos.

If you've got a soft spot for early '90s maze games or just want to experience that particular flavor of DOS-era frustration, Nurmans holds up surprisingly well. Just don't blame me when you lose an hour to "one last attempt."

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
