Nuts is one of those weirdly charming Atari 2600 games where you're a squirrel defending your precious nut stash from thieving weasels. You're stuck at the bottom of the screen, chucking rocks upward while these little jerks scurry back and forth overhead—and they’ve got rocks of their own to throw back at you.
At first it seems simple, but things get tense when you realize the weasels only need to complete ten full laps before they steal a life. Miss too many shots, and suddenly you're scrambling to pick them off before they hit that magic number. The rocks arc in this weirdly satisfying way, and there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a weasel mid-stride.
It’s basic, sure, but there’s a surprising amount of strategy in timing your throws between their attacks. Just don’t get too comfortable—those weasels are faster than they look.
