Ah, NWurm—one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes you forget how basic it is. You start with this tiny worm, just a few pixels long, and suddenly you're frantically steering it around the screen, trying not to crash into your own tail while chasing after blinking dots. The controls are dead simple (arrow keys, obviously), but after a few minutes, you'll realize you're holding your breath every time you make a sharp turn.
The maze walls are merciless, and the faster you go, the more your worm wiggles like it's got a mind of its own. I swear, half my early deaths were from panicking and hitting the wrong key at the worst possible moment. But that's the charm—it's punishing in the best way, the kind of game where you immediately hit "play again" after losing because this time you'll do better.
No frills, no tutorials, just you and a worm that refuses to cooperate. Perfect for when you want something quick but secretly competitive—even if you're only competing against your own last score. Still holds up surprisingly well for something that probably ran on a floppy disk.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
