Obscure The Aftermath came out on PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed by Hydravision Entertainment and published by Playlogic. It was part of that wave of mid-2000s horror games that tried to bring console-style survival horror to handhelds, with mixed but memorable results.

You control a group of students, switching between them to tackle different threats and environmental puzzles. The main goal is to survive the mutated horrors overrunning the campus, using makeshift weapons like baseball bats or fire extinguishers found scattered around. Combat is clunky but deliberate, encouraging you to manage stamina and aim for weak points. Exploration is screen by screen, with limited resources adding constant tension. It feels like a rough but earnest attempt to cram cooperative survival horror into your pocket.
