Obscure: The Aftermath came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed by Hydravision Entertainment and published by Playlogic. It was part of that wave of portable horror games that tried to bring a console-like experience to the PSP, with a focus on cooperative survival and a teen horror movie vibe.

You control a group of students, switching between them to explore the infected campus, solve environmental puzzles, and fight mutated creatures using whatever weapons you can find, like fire extinguishers or wooden planks. Each character has a unique skill, such as healing or lockpicking, which forces you to think about who to use and when. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with limited resources adding tension, though the fixed camera angles can sometimes make combat awkward. It feels like managing a small, scared team through a disaster they barely understand.
