Play Odell Down Under Online
Start as a tiny fish dodging predators and nibbling plankton, then evolve into bigger, meaner species—speed helps when barracudas give chase. Those pixelated reefs still feel weirdly alive.

Odell Down Under came out in 1994 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by MECC. It was a time when educational games often tried to balance learning with simple, engaging mechanics, and this one fit right into that niche without a lot of fuss.
You control a fish, starting small and vulnerable, avoiding predators while eating plankton and smaller creatures to grow. The main goal is to survive and evolve into larger species, navigating screen by screen through a vibrant reef ecosystem. Key mechanics include choosing what to eat to gain size and strength, avoiding or confronting predators based on your current form, and managing your energy to stay alive. The pacing is steady, with tension rising whenever a bigger fish appears; it's not overly difficult, but it demands attention. It feels like a quiet, focused struggle for survival where every meal matters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
