Play Open Season GBA Online

Open Season for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2006, published by Ubisoft. It was one of those many licensed games that filled the portable library during the GBA's later years, based on the animated movie of the same name. You don't hear much about it now, but it was a solid little title if you were into straightforward action platformers back then.

You play as Boog, a grizzly bear, sometimes joined by his deer friend Elliot. The goal is to survive in the wilderness and eventually make it back home. You move through forest levels, bashing smaller animals like squirrels and rabbits with simple melee attacks, and occasionally using a slingshot for ranged threats. The game focuses on completing specific mission objectives in each area, such as gathering items or defeating a certain number of enemies. It's not particularly long or difficult, but the controls are responsive and the action moves at a steady clip. It feels like a comfortable, uncomplicated adventure that gets the job done.
