Origamo was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it was never officially released as a standalone title. It fits right into that era of experimental puzzle games that relied on simple mechanics and a clean visual style. You won't find flashy graphics or complex stories here; it's just you, the grid, and a pile of digital paper waiting to be folded.
You control a cursor to select and manipulate polygonal shapes on a grid, attempting to fold them into a specified target form. The main objective is to complete each puzzle with the fewest folds possible, which often requires planning several moves ahead. Signature mechanics include flipping sections of the shape along crease lines and rotating the entire model to view it from different angles. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative at first, but the difficulty ramps up sharply as the puzzles introduce irregular shapes and tighter constraints. It feels like untangling a particularly stubborn knot in your mind, and the moment it finally gives way is quietly triumphant.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
