Game Overview

Osadníci is a strategic medieval-themed game set in the year 699, where players take on the role of Mirko, a young Slav prince seeking vengeance after his village is destroyed. Leading his warriors, Mirko must conquer neighboring territories, manage resources like milk (produced by grazing cows), and command units such as woodcutters—who also serve as axemen in battle. The game blends historical elements with fantasy, featuring sacred healing sites, priests who summon celestial fire, and encounters with magical creatures. Players can control warrior groups collectively, adding tactical depth to combat and expansion.

Originally released on floppy disks, the game later saw a CD-ROM reissue with new content, including three additional units, five campaigns (27 missions), 3D animations, and audio-track music. Regional versions, like the German Victory edition, altered the setting and plot, shifting the focus from Slavic tribes to German territories. The Czech edition, however, retained the enhanced Polish CD-ROM features. With its mix of resource management, warfare, and mythical elements, Osadníci offers a distinctive take on early medieval strategy.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
