Otoboke Ninja Colosseum came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Intec Inc. It was one of those late era SNES games that felt a bit experimental, a party fighter that leaned into absurdity when most games were chasing more serious or complex designs.
You control a wobbly, inflatable ninja and face off against another player or the computer across single screen arenas. The goal is to slap, kick, or throw shurikens to deplete the opponent's health bar. Your character's arms and legs are stretchy and imprecise, making every attack feel clumsy and unpredictable; you can also jump and bounce off walls, which often sends you careening. Matches are fast and silly, usually devolving into a frantic scramble where landing a hit feels more like luck than skill. It’s a game that thrives on not taking itself seriously at all.
