Game Overview
Out Run 3-D on the Sega Master System is basically the same classic arcade racer you know, but with one big twist: those weird 3D glasses that came with the system actually work here. You're still blasting down winding roads in a red Ferrari (though it's a bit smaller now), picking your path at forks to unlock new stages. The 3D effect is neat—not mind-blowing, but roads curve more convincingly and palm trees pop just enough to justify the gimmick.
They swapped out the original's infamous Rock Tunnel stage (which chugged on every home console) for a smoother dark tunnel, and the Beach is back where it belongs in the first level. The new soundtrack options—Midnight Highway, Color Ocean, Shining Wind—are decent, but I always stuck with Magical Sound Shower out of nostalgia. It’s still the definitive version if you’ve got the glasses handy.
