Play Pac-Maine Online
Guide a quirky yellow circle through a glitchy maze, munching dots and dodging unpredictable ghosts in this odd MS-DOS clone.
I remember stumbling across Pac-Maine in a collection of zero MS-DOS classic games, a bootleg disc with no publisher listed. It was one of those oddball clones that felt both familiar and completely off, a product of its time when anyone with a compiler and a dream could put something out there.
You control a blocky yellow circle meant to be Pac-Man, navigating a maze that flickers and sometimes doesn't render properly. The goal is the same: eat all the dots while avoiding four ghosts that move in erratic, often unpredictable patterns. The signature mechanics are its broken warp tunnels, which don't always take you where you expect, and the way dots occasionally reappear after you clear them. The pacing is frantic not by design, but because the glitches force you to react to chaos instead of patterns. It feels like trying to complete a simple task while the world around you is actively falling apart.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
