Pachisi was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought several early computer titles together. It was a straightforward digital adaptation of the traditional board game, sometimes known as Ludo in other parts of the world. You control four colored tokens, rolling a virtual die to advance them along a cross-shaped path toward the center home space. The main objective is to get all your pieces safely around the board before your opponents do. Key mechanics include sending rival tokens back to their start when you land on them, and the strategic decision of whether to move a new token out or advance one already in play. The pacing is deliberate, almost leisurely, but the difficulty spikes when the AI consistently blocks or captures your pieces. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
