Play Palamedes on nes Online
NES puzzle game where you match falling dice numbers under pressure. Simple controls, surprisingly deep strategy, and a two-player mode that ruins friendships.

Palamedes on NES is one of those weird little puzzle games that somehow gets under your skin. You're stuck at the bottom of the screen with a single die, watching helplessly as rows of numbered dice slowly descend toward you. The panic sets in fast—you've got to match numbers by shooting your die upward before everything piles up. At first it seems simple, but then you realize you can chain combos by lining up three matching or consecutive numbers at the bottom. That's when things get really satisfying.
There's a single-player mode where you clear set numbers of lines (gets brutal fast), a tournament mode against CPU opponents (they cheat, I swear), and a two-player duel that usually ends with someone yelling at the TV. The controls are dead simple—left, right, A to shoot, B to change your die—but the strategy gets surprisingly deep. Just don't blame me when you start seeing falling dice in your dreams.
