Game Overview

Paranoid was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release that bundled several titles from the platform's early era. It was developed by Cosmi Corporation, a name familiar to those who spent the 1980s exploring shareware and budget software. The game fits squarely into that time, a straightforward arcade-style experience built for quick sessions and high-score chasing on the machines of the day.

You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a ball to break rows of bricks above. Your main objective is to clear each stage by shattering every brick while preventing the ball from falling past your paddle. Key mechanics include power-ups that drop from broken bricks, which can widen your paddle, add extra balls, or grant a temporary laser for direct firing. The game escalates quickly; bricks begin to move, some require multiple hits, and the ball accelerates, demanding sharp reflexes. It feels like a constant, tense negotiation between careful aim and frantic survival.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
