Peace Keepers came out in 1994 for the Super Nintendo, developed by Jaleco. It was part of that wave of side-scrolling beat 'em ups that filled arcades and living rooms, though it never quite reached the same level of recognition as some of its peers on the platform.
You choose from one of four vigilantes, each with their own fighting style, and brawl through city streets and enemy hideouts. The goal is to dismantle a criminal organization by defeating its leaders. You punch, kick, and use special moves to clear screens of thugs; the branching path system lets you pick which stage to tackle next, altering the story's progression. The pacing is fast, the enemy crowds are dense, and it gets tough quickly. It feels like a solid, chaotic brawler that rewards aggressive play.
