Play Ping Pals Online
You doodle goofy messages, dress up your little avatar in ridiculous hats, and try not to laugh when the AI "friend" sends nonsense replies—it’s like finding an old flip phone full of inside jokes.

Ping Pals came out for the Nintendo DS in 2004, developed by WayForward Technologies. It was one of those early DS titles that really leaned into the system's touch screen and wireless features, a quirky little communication tool disguised as a game.
You control a small avatar and spend your time sending pictochat style messages and drawings to other players or to AI characters. The main goal is just to mess around and socialize, using the stylus to write notes, draw pictures, and customize your character with different items. Signature mechanics include swapping messages screen by screen, dressing up your avatar in various accessories, and using the DS's wireless connectivity to share your creations locally. The pacing is very relaxed, with no real difficulty or pressure to succeed. It feels like passing a notebook back and forth with a friend during class, full of silly drawings and inside jokes.
