Game Overview
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2007, developed by Eurocom and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was one of those portable tie-ins that tried to capture the movie's scale on a smaller screen, a common challenge for PSP games of that era.
You control Jack Sparrow through a mix of sword combat, platforming, and ship battles. The main goal is to reunite the Brethren Court by finding pirate lords, which involves exploring locations screen by screen, fighting East India Trading Company soldiers, and solving simple environmental puzzles. Combat relies on timing your blocks and strikes, while ship sections have you maneuvering to avoid broadsides and line up your own cannon shots. The pacing is uneven at times, with some frustrating difficulty spikes, but navigating between islands and engaging in naval skirmishes gives a genuine sense of being a pirate on the high seas.
