Play Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest (E)(WRG) Online
Swordfight on beaches, duel on ships, and fumble with the touchscreen controls until swinging your blade feels oddly good—Jack Sparrow chaos in DS form.

I picked up Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest for the Nintendo DS back in 2006, a Buena Vista Games release that came out alongside the movie. It was a time when licensed games flooded the handheld, and this one tried to capture the film's swashbuckling spirit on the small screen. You don't see many games like it anymore, built for quick sessions but with a surprising amount of content for a portable title of that era.
You control Jack Sparrow through a series of levels, each broken into smaller screens you explore for keys and items. The main goal is to find the Dead Man's Chest, which involves sword fighting, solving environmental puzzles, and occasionally using the touch screen for actions like picking locks or swiping to parry. The combat is simple but responsive once you get the hang of the button combos, and the pacing keeps you moving between platforming and enemy encounters. It can get a bit repetitive in longer stretches, but the variety of locations, from beaches to ship decks, helps break it up. Playing it feels like a condensed adventure, perfectly suited for short bursts of pirate mischief.
