Pokémon Puzzle League is basically Tetris Attack with a fresh coat of Pokémon paint—and honestly, that’s a great thing. You’re sliding and matching colored blocks in columns, trying to clear them before they stack to the top, but with Pikachu and friends cheering you on. The first few rounds lull you into thinking it’s easy, then suddenly the AI starts throwing combos at you like a gym leader gone rogue.

What makes it stick is the little details: the way the blocks explode with a satisfying pop when you chain reactions, or how the announcer gets way too hyped when you pull off a big move. The multiplayer’s where it really shines, though—nothing like watching your friend panic as you drop a stack of garbage blocks on their side. It’s simple to pick up, but good luck putting it down once you’re in the zone.

Also, the soundtrack slaps harder than a Hyper Beam. Just saying.
