Game Overview
Pokémon Puzzle League is that weirdly addictive N64 game where you’re sliding colored blocks around to clear rows, but with a Pokémon skin slapped on top—and honestly, it works. You’ll recognize the puzzle mechanics if you’ve played Panel de Pon or Tetris Attack, but here you’ve got Pikachu and Charizard cheering (or judging) you from the sidelines.
The single-player mode starts easy, lulling you into a false sense of security before the AI suddenly starts dropping combos like it’s out for blood. Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though—nothing like watching your friend panic as you send a cascade of garbage blocks their way. The German version’s got the same charm, just with some extra "Gut gemacht!" thrown in.
It shouldn’t be as fun as it is, but the Pokémon music and frantic block-matching somehow make it impossible to put down after just one round. If you’ve got a soft spot for ‘90s puzzle games, this one’s a no-brainer.
