Prime Time Fighter came out in 2005, developed by Arcade Studios for the arcade scene. It was part of that wave of late-era arcade fighters, before cabinets really started to fade. You picked your brawler, dropped in a token, and just went at it.

You control one of several fighters, each with their own style, working through a ladder of opponents. The main goal is to win each match by depleting your rival's health bar. The game uses a three button layout for punches, kicks, and grabs, with special moves executed through quarter circle motions. Matches are fast, often ending in under a minute, and the difficulty ramps up sharply after the first few fights. It feels immediate and physical, like you're really trading blows.
