Princess Maker: Legend of Another World is one of those weirdly addictive SNES games where you raise a kid from childhood to adulthood—except she’s a princess, and you can totally mess her up if you’re not careful. At first, I just let her sleep and eat junk food for weeks (oops), but then I realized you can actually train her to become a knight, a scholar, or even a total disaster. The medieval fantasy setting gives it a different vibe from Princess Maker 2, with swords and magic mixed in alongside the usual school lessons and part-time jobs.
What’s fun is how small choices snowball—skip too many combat drills, and she’ll barely hold a sword by the end. Push her too hard, and she might just run away. There’s something weirdly satisfying about watching her stats creep up (or plummet) over the years. Just don’t be surprised if you restart halfway through because you accidentally turned her into a spoiled brat.
