Play Pro Wrestling (Europe) Online
Star Man’s neon tights and The Amazon’s brutal headbutts make this NES wrestling gem hilariously stiff—good luck pulling off a piledriver without bouncing off the ropes first.

Pro Wrestling for the NES came out in 1987, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of the earlier wrestling games on the console, arriving before the sport's bigger boom in the late 80s and early 90s. You pick from a small roster of international fighters, each with their own exaggerated style and a couple of special moves.
You control your chosen wrestler in a one-on-one match inside a single ring. The main goal is to either pin your opponent's shoulders to the mat for a three count or force a submission. Signature mechanics include building up a meter by landing strikes and grapples to eventually perform a unique finisher; you also fight off the referee when he tries to break up illegal moves like choking or using the ropes for leverage. The pacing is deliberate, almost sluggish, and the difficulty comes from the strict timing needed for reversals and the computer's relentless counterattacks. It feels like a clumsy, earnest attempt to capture the spectacle of wrestling with very limited technology.
