Man, Prowler takes me back—that satisfying crunch of pixels and the sound of your jet’s engine whining as you bank hard to avoid a missile. It’s one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes blocky graphics feel intense. You’re basically a one-plane wrecking crew, weaving through anti-aircraft fire and dropping bombs with this weirdly precise keyboard control that actually works once you get used to it.
The first mission lulls you in with some easy ground targets, but by level three, you’re sweating bullets trying to dodge flak while lining up shots. And those explosions? Tiny, chunky fireballs that never stop being weirdly satisfying. It’s got that arcade vibe where you’ll replay the same stretch five times just to shave half a second off your run.
