Game Overview

Putter Golf (SegaNet) is one of those Genesis games that sneaks up on you—what starts as a quick round of pixel golf turns into "just one more try" for hours. The greens are bright and simple, with just enough slope and wind to keep you second-guessing your putts. I love how the ball rolls with this slightly bouncy, arcade-y feel—not too serious, but not totally unrealistic either.

Multiplayer’s where it really shines. My brother and I used to trash-talk each other over missed shots, especially on the later courses where the hills get sneaky. The SegaNet thing is a neat relic (good luck getting that working now), but honestly, the local two-player is all you need. If you’ve ever played NES golf games and wished they had a little more personality, this one’s got that SEGA charm—right down to the satisfying *plink* when you nail a long putt.
