Puzzle Bobble 3 came out in arcades in 1996, developed and published by Taito. You control a small dinosaur named Bub (or sometimes Bob) at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing colored bubbles upward to match groups of three or more of the same color. The main goal is to clear each screen of bubbles before they descend too far and end your game. Key mechanics include banking shots off the side walls to reach tricky angles, and creating chain reactions by dropping large sections at once. The pacing starts relaxed but quickly becomes tense as the ceiling gradually lowers, demanding faster decisions and precise aim.
