Puzzled is one of those Game Boy Color puzzlers that somehow slipped under the radar, which is a shame because it's got this weirdly satisfying mix of tile-matching and spatial reasoning. At first glance it looks like another Tetris clone, but after a few levels you realize there's more going on—some stages make you think three moves ahead like chess, others just bombard you with tiles until your brain hurts (in a good way).
The colors pop nicely for a GBC game, and I dig how the music shifts between chill and frantic depending on how badly you're messing up. Also, props for including three languages—my high school French came in handy when I accidentally switched the menu settings.
It's the kind of game you start playing for five minutes on the bus and suddenly realize you've missed your stop. The later levels get properly brutal, but in that way where you can't help grinning when you finally crack them.
