Pyro II came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Monolith Productions. It was a time when action games often relied on simple, clear mechanics and direct challenges, and this one fit right into that straightforward, no-frills style of play.
You control a small wizard navigating through a series of single-screen dungeons, using fireballs to defeat enemies and clear a path to the exit. The main goal is to survive each room, which often means carefully aiming your shots while avoiding monsters and the lingering flames from your own attacks. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, projectile combat that can backfire if you're not careful, and collecting items like keys to progress. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
