Quadralien is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow slipped under the radar back in the day, but man, does it hold up. The second you boot it up, you're hit with this neon-soaked chaos—aliens swarming in patterns that feel almost hypnotic, bullets everywhere, and your tiny ship weaving through it all like a madman. It's like someone took Space Invaders, cranked the speed to 11, and threw in these ridiculous screen-filling bosses that show up just when you think you've got a handle on things.

The controls are tight, which is a relief because you'll need every bit of precision when the screen starts filling up. There's something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect run, dodging through a gap in the enemy formation at the last second. And the power-ups? Pure '90s arcade joy—grab the right one, and suddenly you're shredding through aliens like they're made of paper.

If you've got DOSBox set up, this one's absolutely worth a shot. Just don't blame me when you lose an hour to "one more try."

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
