Quadrax came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by The Bit Brothers. It was a solid puzzle game for its time, fitting right in with the era of straightforward, focused gameplay that didn't rely on flashy graphics or complex stories to hold your attention.

You control a cursor to rotate and position falling groups of four colored blocks, aiming to form complete horizontal or vertical lines that then vanish from the playfield. The main objective is to prevent the blocks from stacking to the top of the screen for as long as possible. Key mechanics include the ability to rotate each piece in two directions and a gradual increase in falling speed that steadily ratchets up the pressure. It feels methodical and tense, a constant race against the inevitable pile-up that demands quick decisions and spatial foresight. Clearing multiple lines at once provides a genuine, quiet thrill of relief.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
