Quadrun is one of those weird, frantic Atari 2600 games that makes you feel like you're juggling three things at once—because you literally are. You start off seeing this grid split into four zones with a prison smack in the middle, and these little "Runts" you gotta rescue. The captors zip up and down while you’ve got exactly three phaser balls to take them out. Miss one, and a Runt bolts for freedom—but if you don’t catch them fast, they’ll smack into the wall and it’s game over.

Here’s the kicker: you’ve gotta chase your own phaser balls after firing them, or they’re gone for good. And if a captor bumps into you? Boom, one less ball. The critter counter at the top keeps ticking down every time you mess up, so the pressure’s always on. It’s chaotic, kinda unfair, and weirdly addictive once you get the rhythm. Classic Atari.
