Game Overview
QuarterPole is that kind of MS-DOS game you stumble on late at night and suddenly it's 2 AM because you just need one more run. It's brutally simple—top-down view, a tiny car, and a track packed with obstacles that punish even the slightest misstep. The quarter-mile checkpoints flash by, taunting you as you try to beat your own ghost time.
No power-ups, no fancy graphics, just pure, unfiltered racing tension. The controls feel stiff at first (this is DOS, after all), but once you get the hang of it, there's something hypnotic about threading the needle between barriers at full speed. I lost count of how many times I clipped a corner and spun out, groaning before immediately hitting restart.
If you miss the days when games didn't coddle you, this one's a time capsule. That pixelated road stays burned into your retinas long after you quit.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
