Quien es Cualo is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow burrows into your brain and refuses to leave. You boot it up, and suddenly you're staring at this jumble of oddball characters—each one more baffling than the last—trying to figure out who's who (or, well, quien es cualo). It's part logic puzzle, part fever dream, with that unmistakable early-PC charm where everything feels slightly off in the best way.
I won't lie, the first time I played, I had no clue what I was doing. But there's something about the way it makes you squint at pixelated faces and piece together clues that just clicks after a while. It's the kind of game you play at 2 AM, muttering "wait, but the hat guy can't be the baker because..." to an empty room. If you've got a soft spot for forgotten DOS oddities, this one's a trip worth taking.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
