Play Radical Rex (Europe) on sega Online
Skate as Radical Rex, a fire-breathing T-Rex, dodging enemies and rescuing dino friends while collecting eggs and pulling tricks in colorful prehistoric levels.
Radical Rex came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Beam Software. It was one of those side-scrolling platformers that felt right at home on the system, offering a colorful, slightly offbeat take on the dinosaur craze of the era without trying to reinvent the wheel.
You control Rex, a skateboarding Tyrannosaurus who breathes fire and tail-whips his way through prehistoric levels. The goal is to rescue your dinosaur friends from an evil shaman, moving screen by screen through jungles, caves, and volcanoes. You collect eggs to open new areas and perform skate tricks mid-air for extra points, though the physics can feel a bit loose. The pacing is fast, with plenty of enemies like pterodactyls and cavemen throwing bones to keep you dodging and jumping. Itโs a game that feels silly and energetic, even when the level design gets a little messy.
