Radical Rex is one of those weird, fun SNES games that somehow makes a skateboarding T. rex feel totally natural. You play as Rex, a fire-breathing dino who shreds through prehistoric levels, kicking enemies, gliding down slopes, and occasionally letting out a screen-clearing scream when things get too chaotic. The fire breath is handy, but some baddies take a few hits—you’ll burn them first, then finish them off with a well-timed kick.

The levels are packed with eggs to collect (because of course dinosaurs lay eggs), power-ups to boost your fire or refill your scream, and checkpoints you activate by lighting torches with your breath. Between stages, there’s this odd but addictive Bomberman-style minigame where you can earn extra lives. Enemies range from annoying flies to armored turtles, and yeah, even other dinosaurs—apparently Rex isn’t the only one who survived extinction.

It’s goofy, fast-paced, and just the right amount of challenging. If you ever wanted to see a T. rex pull off a sick kickflip while roasting a pterodactyl, this is your game.
