Game Overview

Rally Cross Challenge is one of those Amiga racers that feels like a chaotic garage project—in a good way. You’ve got these chunky, super-modified cars sliding around mixed-surface tracks, half-tarmac, half-gravel, and the handling’s just unpredictable enough to keep you wrestling with the wheel. First race, I spun out twice before realizing traction upgrades aren’t optional.

Four cars, six tracks, and if you’ve got the right joystick adapter, you can cram four players into the madness (otherwise, it’s two). The AI drivers aren’t just filler—they’ve got quirks, like one that’s weirdly aggressive on corners or another that’s fast but brakes too early. Finish top three or you’re stuck replaying the same race, which… yeah, I’ve been there.

Between races, you dump your hard-earned points into upgrades—turbo for straight-line speed, aerodynamics so you don’t flip on jumps, or repairs if you’re like me and keep smashing into barriers. It’s satisfyingly hands-on, even if your first few races feel like driving a shopping cart downhill.
